Saturday we took the boys up Scofield to get wood for the winter. They were a lot of help. I am not being sarcastic either. Bailey tried to cut this little tree down, but decided cutting with an ax wasn't the easiest way to get a tree down. Too bad he was too young for the chain saw.
On the way up, my environmentalist (Dallin) wanted to know why we didn't bring any trees to plant. If we were cutting down trees then we better be planting new ones. Smart kid!! We told him we weren't cutting any trees down that were living. Only the ones that were already dead. He then went on to talk about how many trees it takes to make paper and such. He actually knew more than I did about it. He was pretty concerned about the forest.After loading the trucks up we had a picnic and went fishing. Dallin caught the first one. He was pretty excited. They all ended up catching one.
It turned out to be a great day.

Love the way Dallin's mind works! Too cute! With four boys you are sure to have plenty more weekends like that! Reminds me of Blake and his five brothers.... They work hard and play hard!

Some of my greatest memories are getting wood with my dad. What a great way to make memories.
With how cold it was at Libby's soccer game tonight, you'll need to use that wood soon! We came home and had Hot cocoa before the kids got ready for bed!
Just in time for the "chill". I still can't believe how cold it is in the morning and then how hot it is in the aft!

How fun! Brings back memories of getting wood when we lived in Green River! Can't believe my kid's kids are doing the same thing. Time hurries by way too fast! Hi Denette! Meg just raised her prices from $8-$10 to $13-$15. My mom, steph, De, Janae, and Jamie go to her too. She had stopped taking new clients but she may have changed that policy because she has had some people stop going because she raised her prices. she usually doesn't care if you are going with someone so you could always make an appointment to go with one of them since they are regulars if she still isn't taking new people. They're fun huh!
