Our family has gone to the pPinewood Derby for 4 years now and have 6 more to go. Sometimes we have one car entered and other years we have 2. You would think we should have it mastered. We should have the winning car each year because we have made so many cars. That simply is not true. We do work hard on our cars, but most of the time they just "look good" and don't race well. In fact last year we took last place and next to last place, but they looked good.
The boys enjoy playing in Grandpa Davis's shop and then having their Dad help with some detail work.
This is Dallin's car. He received help from many people this year. His Grandpa, his Dad and a neighbor. I didn't plan well and couldn't find any weight to put into the car. Our neighbor helped with that and maybe that's why we actually took 6th this year instead of last.

Yah, we always take last too. His car looks really neat. But it is fun for the boys to race their cars.
We are the same way. Our cars look good but that is it. Good job!!
Sweet paint job!! We'll be making our first car this year. Brody can hardly wait! Our achievement day girls have been begging to start a girls pinewood derby.
They look pretty sweet! We have ours this Thurs coming up and it's still a block of wood. Poor kid
